  • LE Hybrid: The base LE RAV4 with the addition of all-wheel drive as a standard feature and a 2.5L 4-cylinder ECVT Hybrid engine under the hood. Starts at $27,235 MSRP*.
  • Adventure: This brand new trim level for the 2018 model year brings a variety of rugged exterior and interior features to the RAV4. Starts at $27,800 MSRP*.
  • SE: The sport trim in the lineup that includes steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, sport tuned suspension, sport shift lever, and more. Starts at $28,890 MSRP*.
  • XLE Hybrid: All the features included with the standard XLE with the addition of all-wheel drive and a 2.5L 4-cylinder ECVT Hybrid engine. Starts at $29,130 MSRP*.
  • Limited: This luxury trim level of the RAV4 comes standard with SofTex trimmed seating, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seats, and many more features. Starts at $31,005 MSRP*.
  • SE Hybrid: The sporty SE with all-wheel drive and power derived from a 2.5L 4-cylinder ECVT Hybrid engine. Starts at $32,285 MSRP*.
  • Limited Hybrid: The luxurious Limited trim powered by a 2.5L 4-cylinder ECVT Hybrid engine and with all-wheel drive capability. Starts at $34,130 MSRP*.
  • Platinum: The crème de la crème in the 2018 RAV4 lineup. All the best features of previous trims plus bird’s eye view camera, Smart Key System, and hands-free foot activated power liftgate. Starts at $34,850 MSRP*.

RAV4 History: How This Toyota Has Changed

The 1996 Toyota RAV4 claimed the title of first crossover SUV to be available in North America. It was based on the same platform as the Corolla and has gone through multiple generations. Within the first few years, Toyota updated the interior styling, headlights, taillights, and grille. A RAV4 convertible arrived in 1998, and few changes were made during the following years. The 2001 RAV4 got larger as well as more powerful with updated styling.

For 2004, Toyota gave the RAV4 a mid-cycle update that included stylistic changes, traction control, stability control, antilock brakes, multiple extra airbags, six speakers, and a 161-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder. In 2006, the RAV4 got a bigger frame that also increased the interior space, along with a new V6. Front-seat side airbags and side curtain airbags were added for 2007. In 2009, this SUV got updates to the grille and bumper. This Toyota went through another redesign for the 2013 model year. The new generation featured a sleeker, more aerodynamic appearance; newly optional Dynamic Torque Control all-wheel drive; and a new 6-speed automatic. A backup camera became standard that year, with Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert both becoming options. The infotainment system was also updated.
